Claudia has completed both a Post Graduate Diploma of Performance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and a Bachelor majoring in classical music studies at the University of Western Australia, having been mentored by Megan Sutton. She has also completed international education, both studying under the tutelage of Ashley Putnam at the Manhattan School of Music and undergoing coaching at summer schools both in Munich, Berlin and Vienna.
As a lyric mezzo – soprano she has performed the roles of Kate (Pirates of Penzance, 2015), Hermia (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, 2015), Drei Knabe and Drei Dame (Die Zauberflote, 2019/2021), Bianca (The Rape of Lucretia, 2020) and Dorabella (Cosi fan Tutte, 2022). As a soloist she has performed in numerous oratorios including the Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Bach's St. John Passion. She has been awarded both the prestigious John Peter Coles award for top vocal student (2011) as well as the Dr. V. H. Cooper award for Highest Achievement in First Year Vocal Studies (2012). She has also been awarded first place in the Royal Overseas League Singing Competition (2014).
Claudia hopes to continue her studies in Europe and has worked as a principal young artist with OpusWA a Perth based opera company. In 2022 she enjoyed performing as Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro in early February, as Mezzo soloist for St. John’s Passion by Bach in April, and as Dorabella in Cosi fan Tutte as part of the Vienna Summer Festival in June and July. After taking 2023 off to focus on intense study, she is happy to return to performance in 2024.
Claudia is very proud of her Polish heritage and hopes to continue to shine a spotlight on Polish language opera and art song through her performances.
